PrOgReSsIoN!!!!!!!!

A sport is nothing with out progression! Just think about it. Would you like to see the same thing done over and over again......? Yea me either. I have seen the sport of freestyle skiing progress so much from when i started to now its nuts! I started my freestyle ski career when i was 8 picking up my first pair of twin tips and sponsor. I would have never thought this sport would have gone this far. We are pushing the limits of Gravity, Speed, and Distance. Pushing our bodies to the absolute limits and our minds. Technology has help so much along the way and where we have gotten. We follow after those before us improving and working on things to make it better. We are looking ahead at things people are doing and progressing with them. Creating new tricks adding our own style. That is why this sport has taken off. It is a way to express your self with your body. No one can tell you how to through a tick the way they want to see it. Its how you want to make it look. I mean i remember when i started skiing a big trick was a 540 not even an off axis 540. there was not right and left spins. It is just the way you felt comf. spinning in the air. (ok so for you who dont know say you are standing on the ground and you were to jump and spin a 360. ok most people spin to the right some to the left. Now try jumping and spinning the other way.... Is it harder. if not then your lucky.) So now tricks are not only being thrown right and left by the same person but we are throwing triple flips double flips triple corks its amazing. i mean in 11 years of when the sport really came to light we have come to a point where there is almost no where else to go with it. Thats where the style of art comes to light. If you watch good freestyle skiers they all have a different style on how they ride, do there grabs, do rail tricks, how they throw there spins. there are endless ways to style on skis just as there are in say the fashion industry or music. The Parks are amazing creating things that the minds eye sees. Trying things that you wouldnt think is even possible. I remember seeing this ski movie and it was (andres haviet) master of rails do this insane rail gap. It just blew everyone away riding a rail just on skis and doing a switch up was crazy and spinning out of a rail was crazy but riding a rail and jumping to another rail and still sliding crazy. Now thats not even a big deal! Now its all about spinning on to rails flipping on to rails, flipping off rails, doing rails that are kinked 90 freaking degrees! One thing i think is sad about what iam talking about is how unrecognized this sport really is. Everyone thinks snowboarding is the only sport on snow where people flip in the air and shit all because of (Shuan White) but no one really knows about where his tricks came from. Everyone know his famous double mc twist that he did in the Olympics, but do you really know what that trick is and who really did the first dub flip..... yea didnt think so unless you are a skier. First dub flip ever thrown was by (Jon Olson) pro freestyle skier out of Sweden. Now why didnt anyone go crazy over that??? well skiers did but the rest of the world no not really. What about the first triple flip? yea skier too, but no one knew that. I dont hate on snowboarding i just wish that skiing was viewed in the public eye the same way boarding is. I mean when you think of skiing you probably think of recreational down hill pizza french fry thing or downhill ski racing. I mean i know that, but know that us freestyle skiers are the ones making progression happen. jeaaa! i don tknow why i did that little rant but back to what i was talking about! lol :D
You see other people do new tricks and that what you want to do. It creates and image in your mind and you start to think about how can i do that and make it different and style it different so people will look at me and think the same thing.  You want to push it as far as you can it for sure is an addiction no doubt about it. the rush and the feeling you get fro landing a new trick.  The is no way to tell someone how it feels. To be 40 ft off the ground going 45 mph in the air with skis on your feet flipping and spinning in the air having to judge how fast you need to rotate to land the 60-85 ft gap. its something you have to do for yourself if you are able too. (not saying you should go out and do it takes alot of practice) thats the motivation we all have to go bigger and do better tricks. Its the will and want its a drive that we all have inside for things we want to do go at. follow those dreams its what the world is about. i know i didnt stop skiing because shit got hard i pushed forward kept skiing changing the mold. Ride till i die!

(Watch out for my fiancee in these next couple of years) she is going to take the sport to the next level. I love her so much. She is someone who has a passion for something and will never give up. More people need to have the same drive. I learn new things every day from her and try to do become a stronger person and go after the things i want. thanks babe couldnt do it with out you!

Watch the vids! Give freestyle skiing some love and a shout out! Peace yo!

We progress from those around us. (Positive people) this is (part 1)
